Hardy drought and cold tolerant plant. Sow any time spring through fall. Cover seeds and keep watered, no special treatment. Low maintenance plant that thrives on neglect. Loaded with bright yellow flowers the second year. Readily self-seeds.
Also known as Dyers Woad and is the source of natural blue indigo dye used in Europe for 1000’s of years. Leaves are edible and roots have anti-viral action.
