Hand harvested and grown in my small-scale permaculture system, without the use of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or synthetic fertilizers. Hand harvested and dried on the same day. We dig the roots in late fall after the foliage has died back. Chopped into nice small pieces.
Dried wild harvested Chamaenerion angustifolium
$30 per pound
I wild harvest Fireweed in large stands in summer in the foothills of the Cascades, during peak flowering. I harvest the top 8 inches of leaf and inflorescence with its flowers open at the bottom and still in bud stage at top, well before seed set. I dry the same day as harvest.

Dried Marshmallow Leaf and Flower, Althaea officinalis
$24 per lb
Hand harvested and grown in my small-scale permaculture system, without the use of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or synthetic fertilizers. Harvested and dried on the same day while flowers are just opening. Stems are removed so all that remains is leaf and flowers.
Dried wild harvested Usnea lichen. Usnea longissima
$60 per Pound
I ethically wild harvest Usnea in the cascade mountains of Washington. In the winter months, I collect freshly fallen bunches after they have been knocked down during windstorms. Usnea only grows where the air is unpolluted, and I have multiple sites that I rotate harvests in to help maintain the stands. After harvesting, I clean up and take out any forest debris and rot, then dry.

Wild Harvested & Dried Cottonwood Buds, Populus trichocarpa
$40 per lb
I wild harvest Cottonwood Buds in the foot hills of the North Cascades, along streams and waterways far from roads and industry. I harvest buds after winter storms that break branches down, allowing for an ethical harvest. I dry buds same day as harvest, preserving the aromatic resins.
Cottonwood buds are commonly used to make a soothing salve or ointment for arthritis and inflammation. Cottonwood buds also have antimicrobial properties that prevent infection and speed healing of skin.
