Sweet Flag, Acorus calamus
Hand harvested and grown in my small-scale permaculture system, without the use of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or synthetic fertilizers. Harvested and dried on the same day. I hand dig roost in the fall after the leaves have died back and the energy is in the root. After harvest I wash roots and process and dry.

Sweet flag is a wonderful digestive bitter and carminative.
