Parrots Beak or also called Pedicularis racemosa is used to relax skeletal muscles. Take the tincture to relieve back, neck or shoulder pain, caused by muscle tension. it wont deaden the pain or sedate, but it helps release the tension causing the pain. It can also alleviate muscle pain and cramping do to overexertion and works great for folks who have been experiencing insomnia due to long term stress and trauma. Many people also take this Pedicularis during massage, Rolfing and other body work sessions to prevent muscles to reverting back to their ingrained states of tension.
I wild Harvest Pedicularis racemosa in the high alpine meadows of the north cascades, during full bloom, ethically and sustainably, never taking the whole stand and leaving plenty to reseed and spread. Then make my tincture with Fresh leaf and flower with 65% pure grain alcohol and distilled water and leave to macerate for 6 weeks. I store in a cool dark space.
