Hand harvested and grown in my small-scale permaculture system, without the use of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or synthetic fertilizers. Harvested and dried on the same day. I hand dig roots in the spring before the leaves emerge and the energy is in the root. After harvest I wash roots, hand process and dry.
