Sow seeds in fall or early spring for best results, can be started any time of year. Direct sow on clean seed bed or in pots for transplanting. Cover seeds with twice their thickness and keep well-watered. Makes a great cover crop that feeds the pollinators, while building biomass!
Calendula has many medicinal uses, especially as a topical ointment, promoting fast healing with its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, astringent and vulnerary actions of its flower. Internally the flowers have antispasmodic, lymphatic, cholagogue and emmenagogue actions.
